Complete answers about soapland. Many friends have been asking questions lately, so we'll provide a comprehensive answer here.

What is soapland?

Soapland is Japan's king of the sex industry, the most comprehensive and mature system, developed since the Edo period. The Chinese bathhouse, Thai-bath and Dongguan-style services all borrowed from it. It combines bathing assistance, shared bathing, and full services (complete adult services, waterbeds, emotional value, massage, etc.), creating an atmosphere similar to being with a passionate girlfriend. It is one of Japan's oldest forms of adult entertainment.

Where are soaplands in Japan?

Basically, soapland exists everywhere. Okinawa, Hokkaido, Kansai, and so on. However, they are all small-scale operations. The largest, most professional, and oldest one is Yoshiwara Soapland in Tokyo. Yoshiwara is also where agencies like us can currently arrange bookings. If you don't live in Tokyo, you can still go by yourself, slowly exploring and with fluent Japanese skills. Regular visitors can boldly try it. Search Google for ソープランド, but if you're a tourist, not good at Japanese, especially shy and hesitant to communicate, you can let LeLe TV arrange your Yoshiwara Soapland experience in Tokyo. (Yoshiwara is the old name; the address is in Taito Ward, Tokyo.)

How much does soapland cost, and how are shops tiered?

Prices depend on the tier: budget shops cost about 10,000–50,000 yen, mid-tier shops about 30,000–80,000 yen, and high-end and ultra-luxury shops start at about 80,000 yen.

Soapland is roughly divided into

Budget shops, prices from 10,000 to 50,000 yen (40 minutes to 120 minutes)
Middle-tier shop, 30,000-80,000 yen (40-120 minutes)
high-end shop, ultra-luxury shop starting at 80,000 yen
120 minutes: Regarding the difference between value and price, using LeLe's two current shops as examples, here is the breakdown: High-end shops (applies to all shops) generally aim to meet guests' detailed requirements. Each shop has its own unique business model and customer service philosophy. Some shops focus on cosplay, some on the lover theme, and others on the "detailed" or "fetish" experience, incorporating various elements like uniforms. LeLe's two current shops are compared as follows: Aile Dore is committed to accommodating all guest requests, being very friendly to foreigners. With LeLe's support, it's possible to achieve the kind of personalized treatment that only local regular customers can enjoy, such as bringing your own costumes for the hostess to change into. This can be discussed in advance. Many Lovers Club, as a second-tier high-end shop, focuses on youthful lover themes and "hostess next door" vibes. It is also very friendly to foreigners (LeLe is currently the only agent for this location). It offers complete services with waterbeds, full protection throughout the session, and has recently received widespread praise. You can refer to experience reports. One additional point is its business hours from 8:30 AM to 12:00 AM, which is very convenient for guests with flight connections. The other shop operates from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. As for Hisui no Yume (Hisui no Yume), it's also the only place where you can make reservations without additional charges. It features many former AV actresses and has been showing strong momentum recently.

Can I pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay or a credit card?

The sex industry is all about cash flow, and the most ideal scenario is to bring cash with you, as card payments are also accepted. However, the handling fees for card payments are very high at 20-30%, so it's not recommended. As for QR payments, they are not supported at all. Therefore, friends who make reservations must prepare cash in advance to avoid any awkward situations later~.

Why is the total much higher than the bath fee on the shop sign?

The sign shows only the bath fee; the usual total is about three times that amount, so 80,000–90,000 yen is normal.

Although soapland establishments are licensed under the Entertainment Business Act, the content cannot be written too explicitly. Literally, "bath fee" might mean you can take a bath in their room for 20,000–30,000 yen, but adding a hostess to join you for the bath is another price entirely. Usually, this totals about three times the bath fee. You can think of it as admission to a northern-style bathhouse~ If you go upstairs for additional services, you'll need to pay extra~

Is there pickup? Can you pick me up at Narita Airport?

There is no airport pickup; shops only pick up at fixed nearby stations such as Nippori.

The shop does offer pickup and drop-off services, but they are all on fixed routes (such as nearby Nippori, Asakusa, Minowa, etc.). The easiest station to find is Nippori Station, so most pickups are at the entrance of Nippori Station. The shop will pick you up from the station, take you to the shop, and then drop you back off at the station.

Can you arrange the extra services mentioned in experience reports?

Many Lovers Club does not provide this type of service
A high-end shop may be possible, but no guarantee

But this isn't something that's guaranteed for everyone. Don't think it's a fixed service just because you see experience reports. It completely depends on the hostess herself and the situation on the day. Neither us nor the shop can control the hostess's will. If you want it and there happens to be one, consider it a surprise. If you want it but it's not available, don't force it. Safety is most important when out having fun.

Is it legal? Is it safe for international students? Do hostesses get health checks?

Yes, licensed soapland shops operate legally under Japan's Entertainment Business Act, and hostesses have health checks twice a month.

Legal. They work during the day. Business hours don't exceed 12:00 AM, no need to worry about inspections or being caught, hostess undergo health check-ups twice a month. They can only continue working after providing a health report. International students can enjoy the sex services, but cannot engage in the sex work themselves. This is currently the most legitimate and safe among all sex service offerings in Japan. However, since it involves physical contact, I recommend taking precautions. For details on what health check-up items are included, please click here to view.

How far in advance should I book?

Check the sticky post on this website, which contains the monthly schedule. The schedule is usually updated at the end of the month for the following month. When you see it, you can make a reservation. Try not to book on the same day. The maximum booking period should not exceed one month; two weeks is more reasonable.

Can I request a hostess's hairstyle or other appearance details?

Generally no; you choose a hostess by her photos and guest reports, and appearance details can't be specified.

Let's hear what you're saying... (In some experience reports, others may describe private details about the hostess. Please read carefully to find the answers.) I only charge a CNY 200 booking fee. To be honest, I'm giving all of this for free. If you were to give me 400,000 yen, I would investigate and ask about what color nail polish was applied to each toenail.

Can I ask the hostess to wear lingerie, cosplay or special stockings?

Generally speaking, basically all shops will accept these. But you need to prepare them yourself. Hand them over to the staff after paying when you enter. Also, please let me know in advance. I'll inform the shop. Soapland is not a role-play shop. The shop won't provide additional cosplay costumes. It's a place to meet girlfriends and fall in love. The girlfriend has a good personality and mood~ She's willing to play with you. Then this activity will be available. Usually, you can hand the outfits to the staff (kurofuku) in advance or bring them in yourself for the hostess to change into on the spot. For where to buy stockings for cosplay, please check here

Can I bring my girlfriend or wife? Can women or groups visit?

Yes, but an additional person fee will be required. The main focus inside is on making dreams come true, so naturally it's about spending money to make dreams come true. Two hostesses will also mean double the fee. (Only high-end shops support this.) It mainly depends on the individual hostess's willingness. Women can come along, but we need to confirm in advance who is willing to join. We haven't seen any place that currently accepts two men together.

Are soapland hostesses really Japanese?

At the shops LeLe TV works with, the hostesses are Japanese.

Until a few years ago, customers could only be Japanese people. In the past two years, some establishments have gradually started to welcome foreign guests. The hostesses working there go through strict interviews and training. Currently, they are all Japanese hostesses only. Note that most foreign residents' visas do not permit work in the adult entertainment industry, so licensed shops generally hire Japanese nationals (a general note, not legal advice). Regarding outcalls, I can't say it's 100%, but for soapland, especially the shops I'm familiar with, it's 100% guaranteed that Japanese hostesses will be provided.

I want to go but I'm nervous. What should I do?

One option is to simply not come at all—don't waste each other's time, maintain efficient communication, and build up your inner strength. Once you've made your decision, get in touch with us. We are not psychologists or salespeople, and if you want someone to sweet-talk you into going, that's not us. What you pay for is not my personal service; it's the service of someone who truly understands this industry. In this field, those who seek your presence often come across as either scammers or having ulterior motives. What I can guarantee you is authenticity, transparent pricing, and no hidden costs or unfair treatment.

Can you recommend hostesses and guarantee I'll be satisfied?

This is a false proposition. A 100% satisfaction guarantee doesn't exist. Since this is such a subjective matter, one customer may be extremely satisfied today, while the next day the same person recommended to another guest might say it's just average. Everyone has different thresholds and personal preferences.I only recommend top hostesses (those with their own attendance information), supported by numerous experience reports. Please read through the site to find a type you like—what everyone praises is usually a good choice. Soapland isn't the main theme of life, nor is it about finding a wife to live with. It's reasonable to do some research and avoid pitfalls, but there's no need to dive too deeply into it. If everyone says it's good, it won't be bad in any significant way.

What is a nomination fee, and what is a repeat nomination fee?

A nomination fee is an extra charge for choosing a specific hostess, and a repeat nomination fee applies when you book the same hostess again; see our nomination fee guide for details.

How do I actually get the hostess I want?

Check the hostess's schedule and reports first, then send us the date and time you want.

1. Don't just mention a name when you first contact us, like yayoi. You need to know whether the hostess is available or not. Yayoi is great, everyone knows that. However, it's also a fact that she's difficult to book. Before making a reservation, you must check the dates carefully. Then compare them with experience reports on our official website. If you can't find any reports, she might be a hidden gem or a newcomer. You'll have to open a mystery box yourself.

2. After confirming the appropriate date, please come to me or my assistant to confirm the time. If you have no specific requirements for the time, simply ask "What about xx on the [date]? Can we make a reservation?" Try to schedule as early in the day as possible, or as late as possible. We will arrange accordingly. If you do have time requirements, just state them directly. For example, "Is 12 PM or 2 PM okay?" If yes, great; if not, we'll find someone else. Don't make us ask about the time for half an hour while you can only make it at 12 PM. This kind of back-and-forth communication will naturally cause frustration.

3If you make a reservation for the same day, please make sure to check her schedule carefully. Then directly state your available time and preferred person. The difficulty level is higher when reserving for the same day. We usually ask who is available at that specific time slot, and then choose from those options. This method will give you the highest chance of successful reservation.
