[LeLe TV Official Statement]
LeLe TV's booking system is not as simple as many people think.
In every booking, the shop, the hostess and our platform are three independent parties. There are business interests between them, and there is also a guarantee responsibility. The booking fee we charge is not a price we made up; it includes the cost of that guarantee.
For example: when a customer cancels at the last minute, the CNY 1000 we charge is nowhere near enough, and in many cases we pay the shop out of our own pocket to cover part of the customer's loss. One booking at a shop is JPY 100,000; if a tour guide or an individual made the booking and the customer does not show up, the loss usually has to be covered in full. A shop has staff and a manager, above the manager there are the owner and shareholders, and some bookings even come through the hostess's own channels, so the interests of everyone involved are very complicated.
Another example: when there was a problem on AD's side last time, our platform paid the customers' losses and costs up front, in full.
Let's do the math:
At a super-luxury shop, if a customer books on their own, the price starts from JPY 105,000 (note the word "from" – top hostesses can cost even more). Let's use JPY 105,000.
Booking through LeLe, the booking fee is CNY 1000, about JPY 22,000; at the shop you then pay the shop's cheapest tier of JPY 85,000, for a total of JPY 107,000. The same customer booking step by step through the official website would, in theory, pay at least JPY 105,000.
Even if we set aside all of our advantages and assume your own booking goes completely smoothly, going through LeLe TV costs only about CNY 90 more. The protection, convenience and information you get – isn't every one of them worth more than those CNY 90? That is why so many people use the LeLe platform.
Now look at another high-end shop: through LeLe it is CNY 800, plus JPY 70,000 paid at the shop. Through other channels on your own, it costs JPY 100,000. Even if you speak fluent Japanese and are an experienced customer, it starts from JPY 80,000, so in effect our booking fee works out to only about JPY 3,000–5,000.
So before guessing wildly about how much we earn, please think it over carefully.
What has kept the LeLe platform standing for so many years, if not its reputation and its rules?
About "bookings not open yet":
Sometimes we say a certain day is not open for booking yet – for example, at the end of the month when you want to book for next month. Some people see a hostess post her own schedule on X (Twitter) and assume she can already be booked. In fact, the schedule is only fixed after the shop has made its final decision and allocated the room quotas for everyone, and the whole process is complete. Some hostesses post that early simply because they would like to work that day and want to see whether anyone books. It still has to be adjusted again and again afterwards, so please be patient. Our platform also relies on booking fees to recover some of its costs – why would we deliberately hold off on booking for you?
Think about it: if a hostess you booked on your own suddenly falls ill and cancels, who covers you? Even if you can reach this one hostess, can you reach all the many hostesses who come after her?
We honestly don't mind if you contact a hostess privately. What we do mind is when some people, after booking with us, go to the shop or to the hostess, check again and again, say all sorts of things and try to be clever. The hostess may misunderstand and pass it up the line, and the shop will side with the platform whatever happens. In the end, all it does is waste a great deal of our time and energy dealing with something completely pointless.
We have never said you can't add a hostess's contact details. We promote the shops openly because we are confident our terms and benefits are definitely better than booking officially. Our information is public – take a good look, and booking on your own is completely fine. But please don't book on our platform and then go around asking and comparing one by one.
At the end of the day, it was your own choice to book through us. Don't add a hostess after booking and then try to show off how clever you are. If anyone ends up losing out, it will definitely not be us.
If you think you are especially clever and insist on wasting our energy, please find your own channel to book. This behavior is NG on our platform without exception, and LeLe's resources will no longer be available to you.
Cases like this are really common. Why bother? Just book on your own. People who harass a hostess after booking and get blocked by her are everywhere.
We hereby make this statement.
