What to Prepare Before a Japanese Soapland Visit: Pre-Trip Checklist

Have four things ready before you go: your booking confirmation and the total price the shop quoted, enough yen cash, your route to the shop, and a phone that can receive messages at any time. Confirm your booking with support the day before and on the day, don't get drunk, and arrive early.

Pre-trip checklist

  • Booking confirmation: it shows the shop name, time, and pickup point or shop location; save a screenshot.
  • Total price and cash: bring yen cash for the total the shop quoted; see Cash or Card.
  • Route: plan as if there is no pickup service, and look up directions in advance.
  • Phone: keep it able to receive messages; support will confirm the day before and on the day.
  • Translation tool: no Japanese is fine; a phone translation app is enough.

From November 2026, many Yoshiwara shops are ending pickup services, so plan your own transport as if there is no pickup. Details: Yoshiwara Pickups End from November.

The day before and on the day

  1. The day before: confirm your booking once with support.
  2. On the day: confirm again in the morning and reply to messages promptly. If we can't reach you, the booking is cancelled automatically and the booking fee is not refunded.
  3. Setting off: allow plenty of travel time; arriving late shortens your own session.
